"Wafting from the glass with an inviting bouquet of ripe berry fruit, spices, forest floor and blood orange, Domaine Faiveley's 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with ripe but succulent acids and melting tannins that frame a fleshy and attractively sapid core of fruit, concluding with a flavorful finish. This is an excellent Gevrey that's already nicely integrated and which will offer a wide drinking window."
