"The Caprili 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is a dark and savory expression with evolved notes of tar and licorice. It also shows warm-climate tones of dried blackberry and cherry sotto spirito. The vintage heat is apparent in the wine's saturated color and in its mature fruit aromas. The mouthfeel is powerful and bold (there's no escaping that 15% alcohol), and the effect is slightly one dimensional overall. I'd definitely suggest a near-term drinking window."
