"The 2023 Bastor-Lamontagne was impressive from barrel. Now in bottle, this has an attractive and intense yellow plum-, lemon curd- and saffron-scented bouquet. The palate is balanced with a creamy textured opening, lovely apricot notes and a deft touch of spice toward the finish. What an absolutely delicious Sauternes! Tasted at the château."

"The 2024 Bastor Lamontagne is especially fine. It offers notable textural presence and depth. Orange confit, white flowers, passion fruit and spice all build. More than anything else, I am so impressed with the wine's depth and overall palate feel for a Sauternes that tends to be on the lighter, airier side."

"Love the slightly bitter orange lime zest crisp of the aromatics, this is lovely quality, preserved citrus and nectarine pit, beautiful lift through the finish Famille Helfrich. 13 hl/ha"
Jane Anson, April 2025, JaneAnson.com
"Pale gold. Mandarin and marmalade notes. Sweet but zesty at the same time. Clean and lingering. Bitter, botrytised finish. Harmonious and appealing now. Clearly on an upward curve."
