"The 2022 Pommard Les Fremiets 1er Cru, which includes 70-80% whole clusters, offers perfumed blackcurrant and bilberry fruit, with touches of brown spice and tobacco emerging in time. The palate is medium-bodied with licorice-laced crunchy black fruit and fine acidity, maybe requiring a little more precision on the finish. Give this three years in bottle."
Neal Martin, November 2023

"This possesses the most floral-suffused nose in the range with its pretty liqueur-like aromas of various red berries, soft earth and a hint of crushed anise. There is excellent volume to the caressing and seductively textured flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere, firm and compact finale. Like the Caillerets, this needs more depth so at least some patience is in order."
Allen Meadows, April 2024

"Bright, mid ruby. Very floral with violets wafting over red cherries and raspberries. No Pommard hardness (this site is on the border with Volnay), very gracious and giving. Soft powdery tannins, inviting with a lovely freshness to the fruit."
Matthew Hayes, November 2023, JancisRobinson.com

"4 barrels, one new. Also two thirds whole bunch vinification. Tiny grapes so evidently a quality pinot plant. The bouquet actually is rather reminiscent of Volnay. A clear bright purple, lighter than the Volnays. The whole bunches liven up the middle, and add a saline touch. I might well say Volnay if tasted blind. Lovely finish. "
