"The 2014 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a perfumed, floral bouquet with rose petals infusing the red cherry and wild strawberry fruit - fine mineralité here and focus. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with crisp acidity, a little chewiness on the mid-palate but good density -- a swarthy Echézeaux that is determined to make an impression. However, to do that it needs a little more delineation and precision."
Neal Martin, RobertParker.com, December 2015

Here there is enough wood to notice but not to dominate the notably spicy black cherry and raspberry liqueur-like aromas. The supple yet attractively energetic middle weight flavors possess a saline character as well as a touch of dryness on the slightly tough finish. This is interesting in its fashion but the balance isn't at the level of the best of these 2014s.
