"The 2023 Peter Max is the entry-level Pinot Noir—a blend of different parcels, mainly from Hemel-en-Aarde. Dark berry fruit commingles with kirsch and a touch of mandarin on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins. It’s a little rustic and a bit short on the finish, but there is plenty of sapid fruit."
