Critic reviews
"The 2025 Sémillon Sur Calcaire has a little more complexity on the nose, the limestone coming through nicely and simply offering something more memorable than some of its peers. The palate is well balanced, with bright acidity, neatly integrated oak, apricot and white peach notes that segue into a well-defined finish. This is a capable dry Sauternes that should be irresistible once in bottle."
Neal Martin, May 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2025 Sémillon sur Calcaire is a powerful, dense, textured white. Apricot, mint, white flowers and lemon oil unfurl in a wine that is viscous yet quite restrained. Readers will find a white of notable structure and depth, with tons of intensity and the personality to match."
Antonio Galloni, April 2026, Vinous.com
"Round, dense and fruit-driven. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Seductive lemon character and a vivid finish."
James Suckling, April 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Deeper in colour than the Grand Vin Sec, soft gold colour, finessed honeysuckle and mandarin peel, enveloping aromatics, powerful with a bitter anis and liquorice kick, this has an opulence to the texture that is highly appealing, with preserved citrus and white pear. Great stuff. 100% fermented and aged in barrel. Dubourdieu family owners."
