Critic reviews
"In response to the season’s challenges, the 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes brings together fruit from 15 different climats this year, incorporating both estate-grown and purchased fruit. The wine reveals itself in the glass with aromas of cherry, peony and violet, followed by a medium- to full-bodied palate that is lively and ethereal, anchored by a pure core of fruit, succulent acidity and suave tannins. Maturation was carried out in 40% new oak."

"The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes includes the Vieilles Vignes and Clos Le Village this year. There is some reduction on the nose at the moment that makes it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, veins of blueberry and fine acidity but it feels just a bit stocky on the finish. It should mellow with one or two years in bottle."
Neal Martin, January 2026, Vinous.com
"(from 20 different parcels). More elegant and cooler aromas include those of red cherry, black raspberry, anise and wet stone. The sleeker and more refined, if less succulent and sappy, flavors exude a subtle minerality that adds a sense of lift to the youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. This is lovely and very Chambolle in basic character. (89-91)/2029+"

"With individual plots such as Clos Village and purchased Derriere le Four included, the Chambolle Vieilles Vignes counts as negociant in 2024. Recently sulphured when assembled in tank. Dark ruby to purple in colour. The nose has a certain depth of fruit, fresher raspberry with good acidity on the palate. A tiny bit saline even without whole bunches. Not forceful but interesting and quite persistent. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2025."
