"Picked near the start, 8th September. A mid crimson ruby, a suggestion of liquorice alongside the soft dark raspberry fruit. Ripe, quite luxuriant, some blackberry too, lowish acidity, but there is nonetheless a fair volume of fruit in this wine which will give considerable pleasure. This has been racked and prepared for bottling, and seems ready for it. Drink from 2028-2033. "
