"The 2015 Lamarque is medium garnet-purple in color and very fruity on the nose with herbs and floral notes. Medium-bodied and soft in the mouth, it's fresh and innocuous with nice balance."

"The 2015 Lamarque does not quite live up to the billing and not the performance just after bottling. It has a conservative, cedar and pencil lead bouquet that never quite clicks into gear. The palate is better with tightly packed black fruit, quite earthy in style with a pinch of black pepper on the finish. It just pulls up shorter than I anticipate. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting."
