"The 2021 Command Single Vineyard Shiraz is all roses and bitumen, black cherry, raspberry, clove and star anise. The wine was opened 24 hours ago, and it shows the evolution in that time. The wine shows blood orange, chinotto and freshly grated nutmeg. The wine comes out of oak a year earlier these days, and the impact is that the wines are fresher and finer on release, which is a good thing. This wine is a big wine, with a little warmth through the finish but with plenty of fresh flavor, but on the spectrum of Barossa, these wines are medium-bodied. 14.9% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."

"The confident and richly endowed 2021 Shiraz Command leaves nothing on the table. Layers of tar and blackberry aromas support its chocolaty oak. Bold yet balanced with excellent fruit density, power and length, it is impressive at every level and destined to be long-lived."
Angus Hughson, July 2024, Vinous.com
"A full-bodied red, exhibiting notes of beef broth, cherry clafoutis, gravy, vanilla and mocha on the nose. It’s rich and deep with plush, velvety tannins accompanying the dark fruit and meaty components, balanced by a zesty freshness on the long finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
