"Composed of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz, the Cabernet / Shiraz Bin 389 has a deep garnet-purple color and a nose of cherry and blackberry with a cassis undercurrent plus touches of pencil lead, cedar and Mediterranean herbs. The palate delivers a structured style with a firm, taut backbone, great freshness and a long, iron ore-laced finish."
Lisa Perrotti-Brown, September 2015, RobertParker.com
"Bright purple. Complex, smoke-tinged bouquet of ripe dark berries, pipe tobacco, violet and vanilla, with a smoky note building in the glass. Sweet and seamless but at the same time focused, offering intense cassis and bitter cherry flavors that open up and become sweeter on the back half. Taut and youthful in character, finishing sappy, focused and long, with sneaky tannins adding shape and closing grip."
