"The 2022 Peymouton exhibits aromas of rich berries, cherries and plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied, sweet and fleshy palate with a ripe core of somewhat jammy fruit that's framed by powdery tannins."
William Kelley, April 2023, RobertParker.com
"The 2022 Peymouton was picked 19 September to 5 October. It has a much more powerful nose than the 2021 with blackberry, raspberry coulis and dark chocolate scents. Real presence. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins that frame that dark berry fruit. Hints of dark chocolate again toward the finish that display just the right amount of dryness. Enjoy over the next decade."
Neal Martin, April 2023, Vinous.com
"The 2022 Peymouton is soft, supple and charming, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking over the near and medium term. A burst of red/purplish fruit, rose petal, cinnamon and mocha races across the palate as this open-knit Saint-Émilion shows off its seductive personality."
Antonio Galloni, April 2023, Vinous.com
"Beautifullly poised plummy colour, clear glass-staining and vibrant edging. Rich texture visually but this provides an attractive contrast on the palate, with some excellent levels of freshness and even austerity at this stage. Touch of damson puree, crab apple even, pretty high acidity on the close of play. This is a 31ha property, harvest September 19 to October 5. Good value."
Jane Anson, April 2023, JaneAnson.com
"89% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc. J-P Moueix exclusivity. Cask sample. Fresh and fruity with a light but fine tannic frame. Some sweetness on attack but the fruit remains juicy. Uncomplicated and approachable but not stellar."
