Critic reviews
"A blend of 66% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Lilian Ladouys evokes aromas of dark berries and cassis. It is followed by a moderately weighted, supple and lively palate, yet it lacks the broad shoulders and depth found in stronger vintages."
Yohan Castaing, April 2025, RobertParker.com
"The 2024 Lilian Ladouys, which has slightly higher levels of Merlot and Petit Verdot, has a touch of dark chocolate and espresso on the nose that marginally obscures some of the fruit and slightly detracts from its delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with light and grainy tannins, simple with a somehow "generic" finish. I'm not sure the composition of the blend really suits this Lilian Ladouys, and that is reflected in my score."
Neal Martin, April 2025, Vinous.com
"The 2024 Lilian Ladouys is a very pretty, mid-weight Saint-Estèphe. Floral and savory notes open first, leading to a core of red berry fruit. Lithe and elegant, with fine balance, Lilian Ladouys is quite the charmer. There's just a bit of tightness on the finish, but élevage should take care of that. Tasted two times."
Antonio Galloni, April 2025, Vinous.com
"Lots of red cherries, minerals and spiced berries. Medium-bodied with some stony tannins that are slightly chewy. Tight and juicy in the finish. 66% merlot, 17% cabernet sauvignon, 14% petit verdot and 3% cabernet franc."
Zekun Shuai, May 2025, JamesSuckling.com
"Sweet oak, skilful construction, and the acidity is high but not aggressive. Raspberry leaf, brambled blackberry, cloves, smoked earth. Lorenzetti owner. First year certified organic. 30% new oak, Eric Boissenot, 34hl/h yield."
