"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Vieilles Vignes comes from 50-year-old vines, but this will be reduced in quantity from next year due to the ending of two hectares of fermage. Scents of black plum and iodine on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth entry and fine acidity. The 30-40% whole bunches is barely tangible on the finish. Give this a year or two in bottle."

"(from 35+ year old vines). Here too there is a peppery character lurking in the background of the rich and generous if not especially dense flavors that conclude in a balanced, mildly rustic and lingering finale that is firm enough to repay 5-ish years of keeping. (87-89)/2027+"

"Deep ruby. Red fruits, raspberry, red cherry. Ripe, with lots of spice and a touch of vanilla from the oak. Very fine, discreet powdery tannins. Juicy freshness to the acidity on the finish."
Matthew Hayes, November 2023, JancisRobinson.com
"Last year of significant production, as production will drop from 45 barrels in 2022 to 8 in ‘23. Now much less oak, max 15% and much more whole bunch, one third. A fine bright crimson with a darker centre. A pure and delicious expression of pinot on the nose, just enough whole bunch to lift from the clay. Very juicy, even quite plummy on the palate, with just a little note of spice at the back."
