"Ridge's Estate Chardonnay, sourced from the Monte Bello Vineyard, is 100% Chardonnay. The 2023 vintage is hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed, fermented with native yeasts, undergoes full malolactic fermentation naturally, and is aged for fifteen months in 85% American and 15% French oak barrels. This wine embodies the vineyard’s history, delivering structure, complexity, and a refined expression of site-driven character. The 2023 vintage stands out as one of the longest and coolest growing seasons in recent years. A drawn-out harvest resulted in a wine that preserves varietal character while promoting the mineral and citrus accents typical of the vineyard. Enjoyable now, this mountain-grown Chardonnay will evolve over the next eight years. Bright aromas of Meyer lemon, crisp green apple, and white peach, with delicate hints of toasted almond and wet stone.
