Basket Press is Rockford’s flagship Shiraz and one of the Barossa’s most sought-after wines. It is assembled from old vine Shiraz parcels grown across the Barossa and made in Rockford’s deliberately traditional manner, with open fermentation, gentle basket pressing and maturation in seasoned French and American oak. The emphasis is on regional character, texture and longevity rather than heavy oak or extraction, and the wine has built an extraordinary following despite its very limited availability.
