Sémillon is one of the Barossa’s historic varieties and Rockford’s version is sourced from long-standing local growers, including the Sibley and Kalleske families. Blocks are hand picked at different stages of ripeness, giving the winery both freshness and richness to work with, before the wine is matured in a mixture of large seasoned oak, hogsheads and an unwooded component on light lees. It is an unusually traditional, textured expression of dry Barossa Sémillon and is released only after a period of bottle age.
