Critic reviews
"The 2023 Labégorce has a well-defined bouquet with vivacious redcurrant, strawberry and violet scents that could only come from Margaux. The oak is neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannins, well-judged acidity that lends just the right amount of tension. Lightly spiced on the finish that lingers in the mouth with pleasing saline notes on the aftertaste. This should age well in bottle."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2023 Labégorce is a very pretty, aromatic Margaux. Crushed flowers, cedar, pipe tobacco and mocha are all nicely delineated in this lifted, perfumed offering. There's a lovely sense of restraint in the 2023."
Antonio Galloni, March 2026, Vinous.com
"Berries, plums, cassis, minerals and hints of roasted spices, white pepper and paprika on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied and fine-boned, with juicy red berries and an evenly packed finish. Long, structured and quite poised. Drink from 2028."
James Suckling, January 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Good quality, non classified Margaux that totally delivers finesse, balance and appellation signature. Hard to go wrong, sculpted, precise, black fruits, cocoa bean, graphite, excellent value. 32hl/h yield, 62.5ha in production, 25% new oak barrels for ageing, with the rest one year old. Marjolaine de Coninck technical director, Nathalie Perrodo owner. One point upscore, good value."
