"Aromas of dark berries, cassis, vanilla pod and spicy new oak introduce the 2023 Meyney, a medium-bodied, lean and compact wine with a somewhat drying finish."
William Kelley, April 2024, RobertParker.com
"The 2023 Meyney has an open, expressive nose with more red fruit than its appellation peers, raspberry and wild strawberry mixed with loam, later hints of blackberry. The palate is medium-bodied, with grainy tannins on the entry. Fine density, showing more grip than in barrel, with an earthy and quite sustained finish. There is promise here."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2023 Meyney is every bit as convincing as it was en primeur. Dark and quite savory, the 2023 has a lot to offer. Gravel, incense, tobacco, licorice, dried herbs, chocolate and pressed lavender infuse this mid-weight Saint-Estèphe with a good deal of character. Beams of tannin shape the insistent, driving finish."
Antonio Galloni, March 2026, Vinous.com
"Crunchy dark fruit with elderberries, herbal notes and licorice. The chiseled palate is medium-bodied, showing linear acidity complemented by a crisp edge. A blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 38% merlot and 12% petit verdot. Drinkable now with some aeration, but better from 2028."
James Suckling, January 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Totally delivers on En Primeur potential, this is one to look out for, full of cocoa bean and slate, with damson and black cherry fruit, lift through the palate, very enjoyable. Hubert de Bouard consultant, CA Grands Crus owner."
