"The 2023 Peymouton opens with aromas of cassis, spices, tobacco and fresh licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, it is enveloping and deep, built around a fleshy core of fruit framed by velvety tannins and extends into a long, generous finish. Sourced from deep red clay parcels belonging to Château Laroque—classified as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru rather than Grand Cru Classé, hence the separate identity—the blend is composed of 90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc."
Yohan Castaing, April 2026, RobertParker.com

"The 2025 Peymouton has a crisp blackcurrant- and bilberry-scented bouquet that just needs a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied, a little rustic with a slight herbaceous edge, and it slightly tapers toward the finish. Not bad, but early drinking."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com

"The 2023 Peymouton is a lovely Saint-Émilion to drink over the near and medium term. It offers pretty, forward fruit in a soft, juicy style that is quite appealing. Hints of tobacco, cedar, leather and spice meld into a core of supple, red-toned fruit in this charming 2023. It is an especially open wine for a Saint-Émilion from the Saint Christophe des Bardes sector, and a very fine value."
Antonio Galloni, April 2024, Vinous.com

"A juicy and crunchy red with blackberry, blueberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh finish. Already very enjoyable. 70% merlot, 23% cabernet franc and 7% cabernet sauvignon."
James Suckling, April 2024, JamesSuckling.com

"Majors on the same brambled autumnal fruit that was so enjoyable during En Primeur. Soft ruby red, bright reflections, earthy through the mid palate, grilled fragrant spices on the finish, ready to go. Beaumartin family, David Suire director, aged partly in oak, partly in stainless steel."
