"A blend based on 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023 Sénéjac exhibits notes of dark berries, red cherries and pipe tobacco, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy palate that's bright, supple and charming. It's a strong effort."
William Kelley, April 2024, RobertParker.com
"The 2023 Sénéjac was bottled at the end of May. It has an open-knit bouquet with brambly red berry fruit and briar, just a touch of cinnamon in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. Just a little earthiness toward the finish, a touch of black pepper lingering on the aftertaste. Not quite as long-term as I estimated from barrel but still a decent Sénéjac that will hopefully develop a bit more weight on the back end."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"Blackcurrants, tobacco and cedar with a touch of cassis and mushroom undertones. The well-knitted palate shows great harmony between delicate dark fruit, acidity and fine-grained tannins. Already approachable but will improve with a few years of bottle age. Drink now or hold."
James Suckling, January 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Smooth tannins, this delivers on En Primeur promise, the tannins are still very much in play, suggest giving a good few years to really soften, but this has a ton of grip and character, rose stem, liquorice, blueberry, blackberry, graphite, mint leaf. Nancy Bignon Cordier, also owner of Château Talbot in St Julien. A value, one to look out for."
