"Saturated ruby-red. The highly expressive bouquet conveys vibrant, mineral- and spice-accented red and blue fruits, candied flowers and succulent herbs aromas. Gently chewy and incisive boysenberry, bitter cherry and fresh bay flavors deepen and become sweeter with air. The floral note recurs on a very long, mineral finish that's framed by subtly gripping, fine-grained tannins. Made with 39% whole clusters and raised in a 65/35 mix of neutral oak foudres and concrete tanks."

"Moving to the bottled 2020s, the 2020 Gigondas Tradition has a textbook, savory, spicy, complex style in its red and black cherry fruits as well as notes of new leather, pepper, and dried garrigue. Medium-bodied and balanced, with fine tannins, it's another brilliant wine from this estate. The blend is 75% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre, brought up in foudre and tank. This is a no-brainer purchase for the Southern Rhône lovers out there."

"This is excellent. Ripe, quite potent, with great freshness, length and fine tannins. This will age well. Thierry Faravel's vineyards are up high among the limestone peaks of the Dentelles de Montmirail at around 350m. The altitude helps retain aromatic freshness, and the northwest-facing orientation further contributes to its vivacity."
