"A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2023 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron opens with aromas of cigar wrapper, dark berries, plum and spices, seamlessly integrated with oak. Medium- to full-bodied, it is dense and layered, built around a fleshy core of fruit framed by powdery, finely structuring tannins, and concludes with a long, spicy finish. This is a highly convincing introduction to the estate’s grand vin."
Yohan Castaing, April 2026, RobertParker.com
"The 2023 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron just needs a little more delineation to come through, touches of baking powder and cinnamon infusing the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a bright entry, quite rounded in texture, fine acidity with a touch of brown spice toward the finish. Give this two or three years in bottle."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2023 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron is elegant and so precise. Bright red-toned fruit, chalk, mint, spice, blood orange and mocha are all finely sculpted. Floral and citrus-driven top notes reappear on a long, sustained finish supported by chalky notes. This is a terrific vintage for the Griffons."
Antonio Galloni, March 2026, Vinous.com
"A structured red with berry, chocolate and crushed-stone character. Medium- to full-bodied, it has chewy tannins and a savory finish yet remains soft and textural. Needs a couple of years in the bottle."
