"Very perfumed, with sandalwood, dried lavender, strawberries, ripe cherries and cedar on the nose. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit that is nicely framed by broad, integrated tannins that fold in beautifully. Fresh and crisp in the finish. Lovely tension. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but better in 2027 and beyond."

"Mid to deep ruby with narrow bricky rim. Captivating, intense, pure deep raspberry fruit on the nose. Long, intense, focused and pure with bags of grainy tannins that need much more time. A length that can only be measured in light years. Don’t open this before its time."

"San Polino encourages spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts across the range. To further augment 2021's vintage character, Helichrysum also sees a two-month period of lees stirring in barriques. For now, the wine is rather closed. Aromas suggest curry leaf, cardamom, dusty herb and iron. Full yet tight, the palate has yet to cede to graciousness – dense, sandy tannins firmly command. But while not easygoing or upfront, this introspective, textural Brunello simmers with immense personality. Needless to say, it will require further bottle age."
