Critic reviews
"A great Bordeaux blend. Among the finest of the New World. The proviso, of course, is that one must appreciate levity, a noble astringency and a glimpse of cabernet's verdant underbelly The pencil lead tannins are detailed and thoroughly convincing. Cassis, tobacco leaf, spearmint and graphite. A fine, gravely finish, if not a bit drying and austere. Age should sort this out. Best from 2026. This will go a long way."
Ned Goodwin, May 2023, JamesSuckling.com
"Fresh, deep, ripe blackcurrant aroma and fruit. A little cedary, with a crushed-kale iron greenness and just-trimmed-box-hedge green aromatic freshness, but it’s the deep draw of dark, ripe, cool fruit sluicing through a channel of graphite minerality that, more than anything, defines the wine. Toe-curling goodness."
