"The 2024 Chablis Les Fourneaux 1er Cru was cropped at a decent 30hl/ha and matured entirely in tank. This has a well-defined nose with hints of lemon curd and melted candle wax infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is fresh and vibrant. It's quite crisp and delineated with a mineral-rich finish, though I feel that the Butteaux offers a little more sustain at the moment. The 2024 is one to watch."
Neal Martin, June 2025, Vinous.com

"Quite different from the Butteaux, less fruity aromatically, a touch of blossom but mostly tense citrus. Engaging in its delicacy with crushed stones more in evidence. Acidity is more noticeable here but there’s still a creamy roundness on the long finish with a slight and attractive grip in the texture. Elegant, chalkily dry finish. Needs time."
Julia Harding, August 2025, JancisRobinson.com

"Sanuel lost the least here, just a touch of frost in parts. Almost a full yield in the end. Pale lemon yellow. Attractively floral though still with a marine note. Even if Les Fourneaux does not fill the mouth quite as Butteaux does, it has a lemon minerality and fine sense of balance. "

"There is a linear quality to this, but also a bit of depth. Hints of cream. Bright, linear acidity with lime and crystalline lemon. Nice tension."
