"Plenty of smoke and flint here, plus rock salt, oyster shell and all sorts of lemon – pith, pip and skin. There’s also an abundance of coriander stem and curry leaf spice, a whiff of white pepper, paprika and crushed acacia leaf. The palate is balanced, with a mellow, concentrated heart of fruit wrapped in that gunsmoke furl. A complete journey of a wine, complex and silty and one that will really sing when served alongside a meal. The Woodlands' Brook vineyard is the winery’s second vineyard, established in 2001 and with closer-planted Chardonnay vines. Aged in 53% new oak foudres and puncheons for 10 months."
