"The 2025 Chasse-Spleen was picked from September 12 to 23 and matured in 35% new oak for a planned 16 months. It has a mixture of redcurrant, blackcurrant and very subtle ferrous scents on the nose, well defined and focused though it takes a few swirls of the glass to really cohere. The palate is medium-bodied, with a little chewiness on the entry. There seems to be a little more extraction in this Moulis, quite dense and arguably just missing the precision of, say, Poujeaux or Branas Grand Poujeaux. But it is a "solid" Chasse Spleen and its élevage will just shave its edges."

"The 2025 Chasse-Spleen is a deep, potent Moulis-en-Médoc. Intense dark-toned fruit, gravel, incense, new leather, licorice and chocolate build through to the, palate-staining finish. Tasted two times."
