Critic reviews
"The 2025 Couhins Blanc is a total stunner. Lemon confit, white flowers, chalk, slate and mint all race across the palate. It offers an absolutely dazzling interplay of textural richness and energy. Superb."
Antonio Galloni, April 2026, Vinous.com
"Citrusy and delicious, with tension, precision and drive. It’s medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Salty and energetic with a long finish."
James Suckling, April 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Always a brilliant white from this estate, the 2025 Château Couhins Blanc comes from clay and limestone soils and is based on 96% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Sauvignon Gris. More stone and white fruits as well as chalky minerality and mint define the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a concentrated mouthfeel, bright, racy acidity, and a great finish. It shows the riper style of the year while bringing chiseled, racy acidity, and it will keep for 30 years or more."
Jeb Dunnuck, May 2026, JebDunnuck.com
"This is a pretty tight 2.97pH, fairly classic for the estate as the white vines are north-facing on clay-limestone soils. A white that really does benefit from ageing, and you feel the depth and weight through the palate of quince and papaya. Harvest August 25 to September 9. 25% new oak. Dominique Fouges technical director."
