Probably the best wine from this Château I've tasted, it suits the vintage style perfectly. Just a little bit of extra ripeness compared to normal suits it wonderfully, but still a very polished, understated wine in many respects. This is one I'll almost certainly take for my own cellar this year. Probably my affordable St Emilion pick from the vintage.

"Aromas of sweet plums, cherries and sweet fruit compote introduce the 2022 Peymouton, a medium-bodied, soft and sun-kissed wine with an open palate and a relatively ephemeral finish. I suspect it will be at its best in the near term."
William Kelley, March 2025, RobertParker.com
"The 2022 Peymouton presents a lighter bouquet than I recall from the barrel, leaning more toward red fruit with a dark chocolate tincture. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. It's quite fleshy and open with a soft mocha-tinged finish. This will drink earlier than I envisaged."
Neal Martin, February 2025, Vinous.com
"The 2022 Peymouton is a racy, supple Saint-Émilion to drink now and over the next decade. Cedar, new leather, pine, menthol and forest floor notes lift a core of red-toned fruit."
Antonio Galloni, January 2025, Vinous.com
"A medium-bodied red with velvety tannins and a spiced, chocolatey finish with hints of nut shell and dried flowers. Dry and chalky. 82% merlot, 10% cabernet franc and 8% cabernet sauvignon."
James Suckling, April 2023, JamesSuckling.com
"Smoked earth undertones to the opening here, there is plenty of muscle to the tannic structure, with spiced black pepper and dried herbs, a little rustic, if full of character. Harvest september 19 to October 5. Beaumartin family, located in St Christophe de Bardes, 31ha."
Jane Anson, March 2025, JaneAnson.com
"89% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc. J-P Moueix exclusivity. Cask sample. Fresh and fruity with a light but fine tannic frame. Some sweetness on attack but the fruit remains juicy. Uncomplicated and approachable but not stellar."
