"The 2024 Pinot Noir is from the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough, on New Zealand's North Island. On the nose, the wine is deeply aromatic, with spiced cherry, blood plum, new leather and star anise. In the mouth, the wine is concentrated and dense—powerful in structure and shaped by French oak—well matched but pronounced. This is a fantastic wine. Give it a couple of years prior to opening, although it certainly drinks well now! 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."

"This pinot noir is dense, fruity and balanced, with a charming nose of ripe cherries, dark chocolate and preserved plums. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, a velvety texture and more fruit character. Flavorful with a bright finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
James Suckling, October 2025, JamesSuckling.com
"All on board the Aroha this year, so fragrant, with grilled smoke and delicate floral character set against a fist bump of blue fruit and raspberry puree through the mid palate, with a salted cracker lift on the finish. Love it. 85% whole bunch fermentation, 18% new oak, 3.73ph"
Jane Anson, July 2026, JaneAnson.com
"Pure raspberry, a little almond shell. Lithe, crystalline and pure, glossy in texture with a lovely midpalate density for a wine so aerial and lifted. Juicy and sapid, fluid, sinuous and intensely juicy. So intense and moreish. More substantial than previous vintages and I wondered about this at first, but it works. 97."
