"Mulberries, blackberries, black pepper an a meaty undertone on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with delicate fruit, a juicy and creamy texture and dark fruit flavors. Focused tannins in the finish. Drink or hold."

"Meaty, gamey with lovely charcuterie notes too; almost a little note of smoky bacon crisps (do you remember them?). Graphite. A little clove and juniper. Fresh and quite radiant in its characteristic crystalline purity. Damson, sloe and assorted dark berry fruits – a little cassis in the mouth. Grippy tannins engage in the mid palate, energising and refreshing the palate. It’s quite creamy too but with something of a focused punch of sheer fruit intensity on the finish. Very pure and crystalline. This was not the easiest of vintages but the wine is, as ever, very impressive. 96+."
