"Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2011 Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz starts off a little closed around the pure, blackberry aromas dotted with hints of cedar, dried thyme, pepper and fertile loam. The full-bodied palate opens up to show a nice richness of vibrant, youthful fruit supported by firm, grainy tannins and enlivening acid. It finishes long. Drink it now to 2021+."

"More meaty than the Coonawarra and Kalimna Shirazes. Lovely complex aroma, dark fruit, orange, graphite, spice. Then there's that same meatiness on the palate. Complex. Dry fine tannins, less plush and more structured than than Bins 28 and 128. I might even have thought it had some Cabernet in it. Blackcurrant fruit, cedar, upright. More elegant. (JH)"
