"The 2022 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru, located mid-slope from 30-35-year-old vines, has a very complex bouquet: Granny Smiths, struck flint, hints of oyster shell and seaweed developing with time in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little more weight than the Bougros but maybe not quite the same ethereal degree of mineralité. Nevertheless, this will age beautifully in bottle."

"This is aromatically quite similar to the Bougros with ample wood if a bit more floral and citrus elements in play. The sleeker and finer medium-bodied flavors also possess excellent volume as well as more evident minerality that adds lift to the attractively textured and sneaky long back. Once again, better depth would be a major plus so a few years of bottle aging are in order."
