Critic reviews
"The 2025 Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc, blended with 20% Sémillon from the plot in the Grand Vin, has an attractive nose with scents of grapefruit, citrus peel and touches of flint. Fine delineation and good vigour. The palate is well balanced, with a lovely texture, impressive weight, white peach mixed with pear and lemongrass that segues into a vibrant and spicy finish. Excellent. One of the best vintages that I have tasted."

"The 2025 Le Petit Haut Lafitte Blanc (80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon) is impeccable. Pear, apricot, white peach, white flowers and a kiss of French oak build nicely in the glass. The 2025 offers a captivating mix of mid-palate richness and energy. It's another compelling wine from Smith Haut Lafitte."
Antonio Galloni, April 2026, Vinous.com

"Structured with grip and character, white peach, pink lady apple, orange peel, pumice stone, careful construction through the palate, make sure to take a beat and allow the creaminess to arrive, and for the wine to widen through the palate. 3.25ph. 40% new oak. Fabien Teitgen technical director."

"Slightly waxy, wool, lemon and pear, caramel, lemon, honey, straw, quince. Cool and slightly creamy with a slightly vanilla peach pear aspect. I love the clarity and purity to this, it’s both slightly round and slightly streamlined thanks to the ripe fruit and crisp acidity. Clearly less dense and concentrated than past vintages although there's a soft richness and long length. I like the flavour combination, with a touch of bitterness on the very finish. Picked whites 20 August – 2 September. A yield of 18hl/ha."
