"The 2022 Neil Ashmead Grand Tourer Shiraz is from two regions: Greenock (82%) and Nuriootpa (18%). Matured for 14 months on the lees in French oak puncheons, the nose leads with mulberry compote, licorice, raspberry and dark chocolate. In the mouth, the wine is supple and spicy, loaded with red and black fruit flavor and lit up by a constellation of exotic spice. This is delicious drinking here, really good. 14.9% alcohol, sealed under srew cap."

"The classically styled and expressive 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Ashmead delivers a delicious mix of leafy cassis and freshly cut cedar with good precision and focus. Punchy, young and embryonic, this wine holds an impressive shape, and its purity bodes well for the future."
Angus Hughson, July 2024, Vinous.com
"Tending to savoury, yet with fragrant florals and supple blood plum and blue and black fruit. Tweaks in sourcing (82% Greenock, 18% Nuriootpa) and the winemaking (only 45% new oak, 16% whole bunch) have produced a harmonious, well-structured Shiraz. Meaty/cap gun reduction, smoked charcuterie and black olive notes enhance complexity. Dynamic tannins – powdery, mineral and of the pickier whole bunch variety – and the taut acid-line enhance tension and length."
