"The 2023 Le Boscq was a dark horse out of barrel. In bottle, it retains a very promising, well-defined and quite elegant bouquet with blackberry and boysenberry fruit, well-integrated oak with touches of spice box. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins, but there is a keen line of acidity, peppery in style, with a classically styled finish. Give it three or four years in bottle."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2023 Le Boscq is a gorgeous, super-expressive Saint-Estèphe. Mocha, espresso, lavender and dried herbs resonate off a core of dark-fleshed fruit. The creamy mid-palate makes the 2023 quite approachable, even in the early going."
Antonio Galloni, March 2026, Vinous.com
"Cedar with succulent dark fruit, fresh tobacco and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. The palate is round and plush yet shows an angular edge, complemented by fine-grained, slightly firm tannins. Needs time. Better from 2028."
James Suckling, January 2026, JamesSuckling.com
"Squid ink, powerful depth of black fruits, a little austere, slate and cocoa bean. As with En Primeur, a little short on the finish, but enjoyable."
