"The 2024 Chablis Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru comes from 60-year-old vines that suffered hail damage. It has a complex, focused bouquet that's quite intense due to the low yield (20 hl/ha). The palate is citrus-fresh, edgy and tensile on the entry. It's almost steely for a Vaillons, with just a slight reduction lending energy on the finish. The 2024 has great potential."

"Intensely pure and relatively ripe citrus. Powerful, pure citrus with more obvious grip in the texture. Impressive concentration and density balanced by high acidity. Very youthful and tastes as if it is not ready to show itself, needing more time to mesh the fruit and acidity because both are intense. Real power here and terrific persistence."
Julia Harding, August 2025, JancisRobinson.com
"Made from 65 year old vines in the centre of Vaillons which unfortunately were at the centre of the hail there. Pale in colour. A really refined bouquet, excellent purity, salivating long before I get to the finish, a little youthful bitterness at the finish adds to the tension and salinity. Drink from 2028-2033."

"This is crystalline with a mineral tension and some salinity. There’s a hint of dairy sitting under the fruit and it finishes long and mineral with lovely tension. Some juiciness. Great precision."
