"The 2022 Soave Classico La Rocca blends richness with liveliness as a sheen of custard and vanilla bean gives way to nuances of shaved ginger and crushed pears. It is a model of elegance, creamy in character yet spry, with an opulent wave of ripe orchard fruits and minty herbal tones that make for a lovely complement. The 2022 lingers long, crisp and gently tannic, leaving a citrusy concentration and a hint of sweet spice."

Broad and expansive, yet funneled into a vortex of tension by freshness that sublimates any sense of obvious power. A wonderful expression of a warmer vintage that suits perfectly this compelling site. Drink or hold."

"Noble rot-derived balsamic and spicy wafts anticipate lemon curd, acacia honey, candied almonds and flint. Searing acids swirl into creamy layers of poached pear and apricot, framed by subtle oak spice, making for a terrific combination of brightness and textural depth. Elegant and multifaceted, a mineral tang enlivens the suave and silky finish. Made with partially botrytised grapes from the namesake vineyard below the castle of Soave."
