"As usual, this estate consistently produces a gourmand, fresh Canon-Fronsac, and the 2023 du Gazin is no exception. Evoking aromas of flowers, dark wild berries and cherries, it's moderately weighted, juicy and round with a fleshy core of fruit and a delicate, calcareous and long finish."
William Kelley, April 2024, RobertParker.com
"The 2023 Gazin has a relatively light nose with black plum and briar scents. I would have preferred more fruit intensity, more vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins. Lovely mouthfeel here, poised and focused with an underlying mineralité that comes through on the finish. What you might call a "capable" Pomerol that I wager will be delicious at several years of age."
Neal Martin, February 2026, Vinous.com
"The 2023 Gazin is deep, layered and exceptionally well-balanced. All the elements are in the right place. Dark red/purplish fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and dried herbs all meld together in a seamless, super-expressive Pomerol that hints at a very bright future. This is a fine follow up to the 2022."
Antonio Galloni, April 2024, Vinous.com
"The subtle tension to this classic wine is impressive. Aromas of blueberries, minerals and hints of hazelnuts and bark. A medium-bodied palate with fine tannins and a caressing and polished texture. 88% merlot, 7% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon."
