"Aromas of sweet blackberries, espresso roast, petals and toasty oak introduce the 2022 Malescot St. Exupery, a medium to full-bodied, rich but lively wine with a ripe core of jammy fruit, supple tannins and a slightly evolved finish. This appears to have lost a touch of precision during élevage."

"The 2022 Malescot Saint Exupéry has a delineated bouquet featuring crisp and airy blackberry, raspberry and light iris flower scents. It's quite Burgundian in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a gentle grip and slightly darker fruit than at primeur. Like the nose, it's mineral-driven with a dash of spice toward the finish. There is an endearing purity about this Margaux, and it should drink well for 15 to 20 years. This is very fine."

"The 2022 Malescot Saint Exupéry is a potent, strapping Margaux, as it always is. Firm tannins enshroud a core of black fruit, scorched earth, tobacco, incense, gravel and graphite. There's certainly plenty of depth, but it lost some freshness in élevage. I liked this more en primeur."

"The 2022 Château Malescot Saint Exupéry is gorgeous and certainly a Margaux worth seeking out. Dense purple-hued, with a rich, powerful bouquet of ripe black fruits, melted chocolate, smoked tobacco, and spice, it picks up a beautiful floral character with air, is full-bodied, and has a layered, opulent mouthfeel as well as a great finish. It shows the vintage's building yet velvety tannins and is going to warrant just 4-5 years or more of bottle age, but it's a brilliant wine in the making."

"This is very good, intense, great concentration and grip, rose buds, damson, tension, grip and personality. A wine that I can often find overpowering, but it is thoroughly enjoyable in this vintage. Léa Zuger owner, Michel Rolland consultant."
