"A blend of 70% Grenache Noir, 8% Syrah and the remainder a mix of Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Counoise, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape is a lovely wine, opening with aromas of dark cherries, spices, violets and garrigue. Medium- to full-bodied, enveloping and layered, it is elegantly structured, with good depth at the core and a long, saline, licorice-tinged finish. It is sourced from vines on the Beaucastel plateau, the estate’s only holding outside the sector of Les Cabrières."

"Mixing 70% Grenache with 5% Syrah and the remainder divided between Counoise, Cinsault, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Picardan, the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape leads with fragrant raspberry, black cherry compote and hints of pomegranate. Enveloped by ripe tannins, the full-bodied, concentrated 2023 rounds out with persistence on the refined close."

"Mostly from vines east of the château near Boislauzon, where the soils are richer in pebbles and clay, giving it a distinct style compared with the estate's other releases, the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers a pretty, perfumed and seamless profile that is utterly delicious. Aromas of red and black berries, spring flowers, violets and pepper leap from the glass. Fresh and medium-bodied, it has fabulous balance, outstanding length and a wonderfully pure, juicy character. While it does not possess the depth of the flagship cuvées, it is irresistibly charming and immensely enjoyable. Production is limited to just 10,000 bottles. Drink 2025 to 2035."
