"The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Champs Chevreys 1er Cru, matured in 30% new oak, offers pure red cherries and cranberry fruit on the nose, perhaps more sensual in a way compared to the Les Gravières, with a little more Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, cranberry and wild strawberry mixed with orange sorbet, vivacious and refined on the finish. Excellent."

"This always seems to be a bit spicier than the Lavières and so it is again in 2020 with its array of ripe dark berry and more prominent earth scents. There is both good volume and richness to the medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the slightly firmer finale that could also use better depth."

"A crisp clear purple. The nose is a little more exuberant than Lavières, perhaps going to a slightly darker riper fruit, with happily enough acidity. Just a little more rustic in the tannins. Drink from 2027-2033. Tasted Oct 2023."
