"The 2020 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru, matured in five-year-old barrels, has an enticing nose of white peach, peach skin and hints of honeysuckle and clementine. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and very good weight in the mouth, although I personally find a little more precision on the Les Butteaux. Still, this is a fine Fourchaume."

"Very cool, flinty and herbal in the nose, this Chablis 1er Cru is a very cool customer that needs some time to reveal its true class. Very crystalline palate with wonderful precision. Very long and straight finish. Excellent aging potential. Drink or hold."

"A very subtle application of wood sets off the ripe mix of white fleshed fruit, salt water and shellfish. There is outstanding density to the opulent yet quite vibrant flavors that are bracingly saline in character before terminating in a vibrant and solidly complex finale. This is very Fourchaume in style and a wine that should repay 6 to 10 years of cellaring."
