"A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, Paul Hobbs's 2022 Cristina's Signature was developed with international markets in mind. It saw only 40% new French oak and is deliberately made in a "more Bordelaise style, for whatever that means," according to Hobbs. Gently leafy, with hints of pencil shavings framing dark fruit, it's full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with velvety tannins. Somehow, it seems to avoid any of the vintage's characteristic coarseness on the long, lingering finish."
Joe Czerwinski, February 2025, RobertParker.com

"The 2022 Christina's Signature Nathan Coombs Estate is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend with touches of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Ripe and racy to the core, the 2022 captures the intensity of the year. Spice, cedar, leather and tobacco open with air, adding shades of dimension. Lifted floral top notes lengthen the finish."
Antonio Galloni, February 2025, Vinous.com

"A sleek, elegant red that's almost sweet in red fruit and well balanced by subtle tannins, with freshness from fruit acidity. Raspberries, black cherries, dried blueberries and subtle, savory accents of bay leaves and iron come out on the palate. A firm but polished texture of moderate, fine-grained tannins. This could almost be a pinot noir in terms of its poise and balance, but it’s made from 84% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, 5% merlot and 1% petit verdot, Drink now or hold."
Jim Gordon, June 2025, JamesSuckling.com

"Medium to full intensity, this is soft ruby red, nuanced and vibrant, with a ton of lift and spice. Gooseberry puree, tomato leaf, cranberry, raspberry puree, this is totally delicious full of energy and lift."
Jane Anson July 2025, JaneAnson.com

"Such Cabernet dominant aromatics; peppers, blackcurrants and liquorice spice with lots of floral accents too. Tobacco, clove, aniseed and lots of iron filings. Juicy and forward, this is shiny and glossy with such a happy expression. Clearly concentrated but you get the salty, iron mineral tang so strongly - a signature of this wine. Clean and precise, focussed and straight with a great defined edge. Tons of summer berries, strawberry and crunchy cranberry with a chalky finish. Lovely. Still lots of oak but it’s a lifted expression. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Owner and winemaker Paul Hobbs."

"(Nathan Coombs Estate, Coombsville, Napa Valley; 84% Cabernet Sauvignon; 10% Cabernet Franc; 5% Merlot; 1% Petit Verdot; aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, 38% of which are new; 14.5% alcohol). A very different composition this year. Beautiful. Floral. Lilac and mimosa, a little rose petal and a hint of violet too. Cedar, but only very subtly present; scratched leather; pencil shavings. Cassis with aeration or just time in the glass – and radiantly so. A simply exquisite wine in quite a challenging vintage. So pure, precise and focussed. Bravo."
