"The 2014 Belgrave, which has been owned by Dourthe since 1979, has a backward, cedar and woodland-scented bouquet with hints of cold stone percolating through the black fruit with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well integrated oak and a sense of harmony and composure towards the finish that just needs to lose a little nascent hardness. This is a well-made Belgrave to enjoy over the next decade."
Neal Martin, March 2017, RobertParker.com
"The 2014 Belgrave has a pleasant, simple nose with tarry black fruit, fresher than some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly austere tannins but balanced with a classically styled tobacco-tinged finish. Tasted non-blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting."
Neal Martin, February 2024, Vinous.com
"The 2014 Belgrave is laced with the essence of gravel, black cherry, smoke, cured meats and incense. Dark, powerful and brooding, the 2014 possesses serious depth, intensity and personality. Drink this bold, hearty Haut-Médoc over the next decade."
