"The 2022 vintage was not dissimilar to 2020, and the combination of season and variety here are a well-suited match. Fully resolved tannins shape the palate on the 2022 Art Series Shiraz, while the fruit flavors and indeed length of flavor show an impressive completeness, leafiness and suppleness. This is very good, elegant."

"Great efforts have been made here with shiraz, to the extent that it is now a leading light. It never was in the past. Attractive aromas of clove, charcuterie, peppercorn to mace, lilac and crunchy red fruits to boysenberry. This lilts toward something that is just a bit green, before redeeming itself as the mid-weighted fruit grows in trajectory across the prickly finish. This is really rather good and definitely worth pursuing. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"This is already showing its merit. The depth of flavour is voluminous, yet it has an elegant red and blue-fruited profile, framed in a bright, mid-weight composition. There’s a spice mix of vanilla, clove and nutmeg, with plush fruit underpinning it all. There is a ferrous tone, too, a little cured bresaola meatiness, which is compelling. Tannins are firm, the fruit is juicy, and the whole package is lifted with a mineral quartz character and measured acid drive. This vintage has the most complexity, length and excitement of Leeuwin’s Art Series Shiraz releases yet. Tasted pre-release."
