"The 2024 Mondot includes 15% Cabernet Franc from new parcels with different orientations. It has a perfumed bouquet with blueberry and black cherry, quite floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins, fresh and focused with black cherry and blueberry towards the finish. Lovely pepperiness on the finish. Very fine, though readers should note that this will not go onto the market for three or four years."

"The 2024 Mondot is bold and juicy, with the broad-shouldered feel that is typical of this site and its Grand Vin. Dark red fruit, spice, cedar, tobacco and dried flowers fill out the layers in this statuesque, deeply resonant Saint-Émilion. This is the first vintage that incorporates Cabernet Franc in its blend. Élevage is 50% once-used barrels and 50% 100HL wood vat. The results are palpable."

"Sweet berries, fennel and anis, brambled wild strawberry, great energy, not huge amounts of density. Second year with Cabernet Franc in the blend. Not sold En Primeur, likely to go on the market in 2028. 35hl/h yield, although it came in from the vineyard at 50hl, so this is after severe selection). Harvest began on September 20, continued through to early October."
