"The 2022 Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz has an old-reading-room character to the bouquet: soft leather and old books, cassis, tobacco, fireplace and dark chocolate. In the mouth, the wine is chewy and supple, succulent and truly lovely. There's plenty of tannin here, but they feel easily digested and nicely integrated. The wine matured for 12 months in French hogsheads (30% new)."

"Blackish purple. Smells like marmalade on charcoal! Very nice and well integrated. Long and saline. Firm finish with a sucky-stone impression but the fruit weight compensates."

"With dark blackberry notes adding a sharp tart edge to the red-hearted earthiness of powerfully concentrated redcurrant and black plum, this wine has incredible drive that rolls like thunder through the mid-palate. An especially strong vintage in Coonawarra, after a long, even harvesting period, has provided beautifully balanced fruit with a lengthy, cohesive flavour profile, bound by stern tannins to ensure good cellaring."
